Senior Quality Manager

The Sr. Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing solid automated quality practices and systems, validating those processes and providing documentation. The person in this role is also responsible for identifying and driving process and product improvements nationally across 12 facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting measures. Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses coordinating with the customer to resolve any quality issues.
Managing monthly KPI reports for all PDC's.
Will participate in and oversee development of, and manage production procedures and processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Manage the quality team for the business line at multiple CTDI sites.
Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented, including conducting internal and external audits as needed.
Oversee internal and external audits.
Manage the ISO/9 & TL-9000 V R6.1/R5.5 certification process and maintaining quality system.
Establish safety processes, requirements and culture.
Establishing and maintaining metric capture programs, trending activities and implementing the overall QC plan.
Conducting internal and external meetings and interfacing with customers.
Implementing and maintaining a Quality System meeting customer and registration system requirements.
Communicating and interacting effectively with all levels of the organization and with external auditors/customers.
Update current inspection and system procedures.
Identify process and product deficiencies and research improvements.
Review and manage the Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Conduct customer on-site visits.
Coach and council employees on performance deficiencies and document as required.
Complete employee attendance records and monitor for adherence to policy. Prepare corrective actions when necessary.

Required Skills

Strong understanding and experience of TL9000 and/or ISO 9001 Quality standards.
Knowledge and understanding of Total Quality Systems and/or ISO/TL 9000 registered system.
Strong root cause and trend analysis reporting skills.
Expertise involving electronic equipment, diagnostics, and/or electronics repair.
Working knowledge of IPC-610 and its application to process control.
Strong documentation keeping best practices.
Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and follow-up skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to create and deliver presentations.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point - will need to be able to chart and graph trends, create metrics, and track and monitor data
Ability to work independently.
Must be able to communicate with all levels of management.
Must be detail oriented and a team player.
Ability to read electronic and electrical schematics and machine shop drawings.
Ability to motivate production/quality performances.
Must be flexible in work duties and schedule.

Required Experience

Minimum of 5-7 years of Quality management experience, preferably in a Distribution/Warehouse center environment.
Bachelors Degree required (BS in Electrical or Industrial Engineering a plus).
ISO Lead Auditor Certification.
Experience with Six Sigma/5S/LEAN concepts and enterprise telecom experience is a plus.
