Senior Post Silicon Validation Engineer

The Xeon Server CPU validation team enables future generations of CPUs that power Cloud, Enterprise, and Data Center! Functional validation teams are organized around key technologies which include Virtualization, Memory (Intel Optane, DDR), IO (PCI-E, UPI), Power Management, RAS, Security, and Coherency. We are looking for a sharp collaborative engineer to join our Post Silicon Power Management validation team.

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

The leading PCIe Validation team member will demonstrate a strong CPU PCIe gen4 and gen5 technology understanding.
Strong understanding of PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 protocol, link training, and link-state power-management.
Create and execute post-silicon validation plans as well as develop post-silicon test content.
Participate in silicon and platform bring-up and enabling of PCIe features in Linux and Windows OS environments.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in CE, EE or CS, or similar STEM focus

5+ years of experience with Post Silicon experience
5+ years of PCIe GenX experience
Must have corresponding 5+ years of experience with at least 8 of the following skills listed below:

Strong understanding of PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 protocol, link training, and link-state power-management.
Experience in Microprocessor validation.
CPU micro-architecture
Debug skills and willingness to solve complex problems.
Communicating plans, status, issues, concerns.
C programming, Python Scripting.
Working knowledge of Logic or Protocol Analyzer equipment.
Linux OS, Windows OS.
Design, verification or validation disciplines, system/platform level debug and root cause isolation, methodology, and tools.
Working cross-functional team environment.
Bring up and management of Server Silicon Architecture
Test Automation Frameworks.
Collaboration with cross-functional HW and SW team to solve complex issues and improve efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree in CS, CE or EE or similar STEM focus
