We are now looking for a National Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to take on a career-defining opportunity.

NHSBT QA Vision – ‘Quality Assurance Directorate will be valued for supporting delivery of donor and patient safety and achievement of world class regulatory performance through innovation and continuous improvement’.

You’ll provide expert advice on complex, multi-stranded regulations – around Advanced Therapeutic and Medicinal Products (ATMP), Investigational Medicinal Products and unlicensed product ‘Specials’ – to the Board and Executive team. You’ll also act as QA expert lead for ATMPs, working closely with colleagues to ensure QA resources are in place for future projects across five manufacturing sites.

We’ll also look to you to be QA lead for the manufacture all Cellular and Molecular Therapies and lead for the development and implementation for quality management systems.

We’re looking for a senior QA professional with deep, specialist knowledge and experience of the complex regulatory framework for ATMPs and Tissues. Alongside this, you’ll be an expert in one or more of the following: Good Manufacturing Practice, GAMP, and other regulations related to the manufacture of ATMPs.

You’ll also need a Master’s level degree in Biological Science (or equivalent regulatory discipline), or have an equivalent demonstrable level of knowledge acquired through experience and further training/ development; and advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide range of ATMP work procedures and practices.

On a personal level, you’ll be a strong multi-site leader and influencer, stakeholder manager and strategic decision-maker. You’ll have a proven ability to improve services, analyse and understand complex information, and present highly technical regulatory requirements to senior colleagues.
