Description:

Job Summary: Execute verification test plans and test scripts for software, hardware and system products.


Essential Functions: Create, execute and document verification test plans and test scripts derived from product specifications and risk analysis documents or product updates for software and hardware products. Perform short term feature and bug tests and long term reliability tests. Set-up, operate and maintain microplate detection test instrument systems. Evaluate and maintain accurate test data and produce reports. Coordinate internal testing with external testing for regulatory approval or customer acceptance. Liaise with other contractors, employees or departments for product releases. Prepare quality assurance documentation when called for. Review status of various projects with the V&V Manager on a regular basis, proposing new testing or reporting as product changes occur. Work with people within the department or in other departments on routine matters, or outside the organization furnishing or obtaining factual data. Work with confidential Research and Development data and Engineering Documentation of major importance. Interpret engineering documents which may give supporting information for testing. When assigned, participate in project team discussions for FMEA, CAPA investigation or other ancillary document development.

. Requirements:

Success Factors: Knowledge of microplate instruments, detection systems, chemistries and application software. Duties require initiative and ability to deal with complex factors not easily evaluated, and to make decisions for which there is little precedent. Must write clearly and precisely with great attention to detail. Ability to establish objectives and plan work as assigned by the V&V Manager. Ability to complete work with considerable accuracy and responsibility. Ability to keep information confidential. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, SalesForce.com, and Team Foundation Server.


Minimum Qualifications / Education: AS degree in an engineering field. 3-5 years experience with product design and testing ideally related to life sciences products.


Computer Skills: Windows OS, Microsoft office.


Work Environment: Office/Lab.


Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) Standards.
