Leidos is seeking a Data Management/Data Quality Engineer to join the team and support a state-of-the-art nuclear test monitoring system. This system acquires, processes, reports, and archives data for a 24x7 worldwide network of seismic, hydroacoustic and infrasonic sensors. Candidate will work on Patrick AFB, FL at the government customer site. A DoD Top Secret, SCI eligible security clearance is required. Specifically, the candidate will work the team to ensure that the data flow, critical to the operations of the mission, is timely, accurate, and secure.

Tasks typically involve the monitoring and managing of the data flow processes that acquire data from internal and external sources, parse and transfer data to, through and from the multi-domain systems, and delivered to the proper data repositories in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate will be part of a team that:

Performs routine data quality activities

Reviews the data quality collection techniques to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data to ensure the collection, analysis and distribution of the data products

Monitors and analyzes information and data systems and evaluate performance to identify potential improvements

Troubleshoots data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications

Performs data reporting and analysis

Creates reports and data extraction methods to interpreting data, identifying trends, and recognizing anomalies.

Performs data distribution to internal and external user requests

Ensures the establish rules and procedures for data sharing/access are adhered to,

Adheres to the project's system changes, configuration management, documentation, and testing processes and procedures.


Required Skills

Minimum DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

Bachelors in computer related field

8-10 years prior relevant experience.

Perl scripting language

Oracle SQL fluency

Unix and Linux system fluency

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills essential to proficiently digest and analyze data.

Analytical ability to evaluate, interpret, and report trends, anomalies, and solutions

Professional interpersonal skills, as this role involves working with wide range of people to include the development and sustainment team of contractors and customers. Candidate will collaborate with software developers, data custodians, data managers, database administrators, system administrators, network administrators, configuration managers, internal end customers, and external customers.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include data reporting and process documentation.

Desirable Skills

Familiarity of the geophysical data, protocols, and standards.

Exposure to cross domain transfer solution data processes.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products
