Primary Location: United States (US) - North Dakota (US-ND) - Fargo Function: Quality Engineering Title: Senior Quality Engineer - 45495 Your Responsibilities As a Senior Quality Engineer for John Deere Electronic Solutions (JDES) located in Fargo, ND, you will ensure products designed and manufactured at John Deere Electronic Solutions meet established quality levels through the use of proven quality controls and quality assurance methods and tools. In addition, you will: * Apply quality tools to formulate and facilitate quality plans for new products within the factory Product Delivery Teams, Order Fulfillment Teams, Supply Management Teams and/or Customer Support Teams * Encourage early and ongoing interaction between manufacturing, engineering, suppliers and customers to identify and solve all quality issues * Coordinate activities and resources to meet quality objectives and drive continuous improvement * Interface with customers on design and build-to-print projects to determine quality requirements. Document and communicate these requirements to all parties in an effective manner * Interface with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering personnel on new and current products as they relate to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) by reviewing reliability and quality requirements of the customer and/or JDES, review processes, equipment and test capability studies and improvements * Assume an active leadership role in ensuring appropriate product quality specifications are documented, available and met * Investigate unit quality related issues and concerns related to product and processes, gather and analyze data, resolve/facilitate resolution, and implement corrective action * Apply quality tools, statistical techniques, inspections, audits and analyses to plan, control, and improve product, process, and service quality * Monitor returns/warranty analysis and assist with failure mode analysis and corrective actions Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. What Skills You Need * Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics * Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities * Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing What Makes You Stand Out * Knowledge of products, customers, markets and competitors * Knowledge of advanced quality tools such as design of experiments and regression analysis * Knowledge of supply management systems, processes and practices * ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or similar certifications Education (or equivalent work experience) * Bachelor's degree What You'll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go.
