Job Description

Quality Engineering
* Customer, internal and Plant to Plant complaints (e.g. Q-Alerts, containment activities, monitoring and follow-up)
* Communication with customers on quality topics (e.g. score card KPI's, quality complaints, SCR's, PPAP)
* Shop floor quality related activities (Q-table, claim handling and zero defect meetings, plant walkthrough)
* Use problem solving tools and techniques for products and processes of value streams
* Issue, update and support organization on quality tools (e.g. PDCA's, 8D-reports, Problem Solving Sheets, OPL's)
* Customer audits and visits (coordination, communication, preparation and documentation)
* Customer quality monitoring and management of key customers portals (coordination)
* PPAP activities (coordination, preparation, documentation, submission)
* APQP activities (support, preparation and documentation)

Quality Methods and Quality System
* Problem solving activities and self-assessments (coordination, preparation, documentation and follow-up) with potential to become a Problem solving coordinator for the campus
* FMEA reviews and self-assessments (coordination, preparation, documentation and follow-up) with potential to become a FMEA coordinator for the campus
* Quality Basics, self-assessments and Q-Layered process audits (coordination, assessments and follow-up)
* Develop quality procedures, instructions and forms aiming continuous improvement and process standardization
* Support quality reporting (data analysis and preparation of comments)
* Support Process, Product and Internal System Audits (preparation and follow-up of respective area supported)
* Support Quality Meeting Reviews (QAS) preparation (preparation and follow-up of respective area supported)
* Support customer surveys (product quality related information)

Other tasks
* Act as a coach and participate in in cross functional teams to drive actions in order to meet quality KPI's
* Lead value stream partners aiming the continuous improvement of quality mindset following the Quality Strategy
* Support other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned

Qualifications
* Bachelor's of Science degree from an accredited institution in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or in a related field with 2 years of experience as quality engineer (e.g. CHEA, ABET)
* Experience applying quality methods with the ability to drive to root cause of specific concerns using analytical problem solving techniques such as 8D-method, Shainin, Six Sigma supported with applicable quality tools
* Ability to lead in both projects and tasks with minimal supervision
* Experience with working together in teams and providing positive input to achieve defined quality goals
* Experience on handling of APQP and PPAP
* Knowledge on measuring and test equipment
* Experience in a manufacturing-oriented organization and familiar with Lean Manufacturing concepts
* Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
* Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Access), Visio and an ERP system (e.g. SAP)
* Occasional travel may be required - approximately 10% annually
