Quality Manager
Location: Ipswich
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000

Quality Manager needed for a large agricultural manufacturing company based in Ipswich. My client is looking to employ an experienced Quality Manager with an in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, PPAP, PFMEA & DFMEA. The Quality Manager will ensure that the Quality processes used across the total business enables the business to function in the most effective manner and comply with ISO 9001 certification process. You will be responsible for a team of 7 engineers

Some of the main duties of the Quality Manager will include:
* Managing and developing the Quality team
* Ensuring the Quality processes throughout the business will maintain the ISO 9001 certification
* Ensuring all process and engineering changes, including the introduction of a new product, are implemented so the required engineering specification is consistently achieved
* Implement and monitor KPI's for the quality processes and recommend actions where performance is not at the required standard
* Undertake a 'mentoring' role for the use of DFMEA and PFMEA across the business, in particular for the introduction of a new model
* Develop, implement and maintain a Quality Plan to ensure continuous improvement of the Quality processes
* Assist the Supply Manager with the development of new and existing key suppliers including the application of the appropriate PPAP process
* In conjunction with the Warranty and Supply Managers maximise the warranty recovery from our suppliers.

In order to be the successful Quality Manager and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* Proven relevant management experience in the Quality function, preferably in the automotive sector
* Good working knowledge of the implementation of ISO 9001 or equivalent standard
* HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline
* Good analytical and interpersonal skills
