We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead, and deliver NCVO’s Excellence (Quality Standards) strategy.

With a successful track record of delivering strategies in a short time frame, you have a solid understanding of quality standards, accreditation and digital / online systems and how they can aid voluntary organisations and social enterprises, to deliver better services and products to their beneficiaries. Working with colleagues, you will create and develop cross sector partnerships to achieve NCVO’s excellence goals.

You will lead, manage and coach the quality standards team which manages, markets and implements NCVO’s suite of standards in Governance and Management, Volunteering and Mentoring and Befriending. You will also manage associates, mentors, consultants and trainers to enhance customer care and to support the accreditation process.

You understand the balance required between supporting the voluntary sector whilst generating a sustainable income.

An excellent communicator, you are comfortable building relationships at all levels and negotiating successful outcomes with both external and internal stakeholders.

NCVO acquired its suite of Quality Standards as a result of mergers. We have recently made a substantial investment in NCVO excellence quality standards to build on UKAS accreditation, to produce online and digital models, align the standards and make them financially sustainable. We will do this by raising their profile, improving market reach and customer service, working closely with NCVO’s Policy, Marketing and Membership and Digital teams to raise awareness and get support from central government, statutory agencies, local authorities, NHS England, regulators, funders, UK umbrella bodies, charities and social enterprises.
