Thales are currently hiring for a Project Quality Engineer for a fully time role in London

The Project Quality Engineer - Hardware role is to provide professional and effective project Quality support in order for Thales to meet customer, stakeholder and other relevant requirements. Reporting to the Project Quality Manager and interacting with the functional Quality team as well as all the project functional teams to support project delivery in a planned and effective manner.

Key Tasks

Responsible for the facilitation of Project root cause analysis and investigation work, ensuring that corrective and preventative actions are identified with the appropriate sponsor / owner associated with any hardware related issues.
Ensure that quality controls and assurance inspections are undertaken across the supply chain and hardware engineering
Where possible capture and report Cost of Non-Quality associated with supplier/engineering hardware issues
Support and improve First Article Inspection (FAI) activities
Support Supplier Audits
Monitor and support adherence to Chorus 2 process and procedures, providing guidance and assistance when required.
Support project Quality Manager to deliver the project system audit schedule working with the project leads to follow up corrective and preventative actions.
Support local and corporate business Improvement initiatives and programs.
To provide the quality support and interface between Thales’ subcontractors and the project team.
Review and approval of documentation and drawings relating to project requirements (ERCs, IRN’s etc).
Maintain stakeholder engagement internally, suppliers and client.
Supplier Quality performance monitoring and management in conjunction with procurement.

Skills

Able to use computer tools including Microsoft Office Suite, databases and scheduling tools
Good Communication skills
Demonstrate good awareness and implementation of the Core Thales Values
