Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Quality Manager to join our industry leading Laboratory team based in Huntingdon, to drive improvements and enhance the Laboratory and its Sampling quality systems.

In this role you will work closely with the Quality Manager in ensuring that we meet our regulatory and ISO 17025 requirements for quality and implementing a process of continuous improvement. You’ll do this by updating and maintaining our quality monitoring systems as well as evaluating data for changes in performance. You will achieve this by communicating recommendations and findings as well as providing assurance to colleagues and senior stakeholders within the business.

You will be involved in our scheduled internal, external and subcontractor audits, reporting on non conforming work and potential areas for improvement, including Business Continuity and Safety. In this role you will deputise for the Quality Manager, working with internal and external stakeholders and auditors, ensuring that Anglian Water’s regulatory requirements are maintained

Requirements

The ideal candidates for this fixed term role will already have experience of working within an accredited quality system and performing audits within a scientific environment. Candidates will be degree educated in a scientific subject or equivalent, familiar with UKAS accredited ISO 17025 and ISO 9000 QA systems. A knowledge of statistics is desirable.

As the Deputy Quality Manager you would require strong attention to detail due to the large amounts of data to analyse, as well as being a confident communicator to enable you to advise and support others. Anglian Water is able to support the successful candidate in achieving a professional qualification of Chartered Status with CQI or the Institute of Water.
