About the role
As a Quality Advisor, you will have the crucial job of ensuring that national standards are being upheld at assessment centres around the country. You will travel to different locations within your area, sampling assessments; interviewing assessors and candidates; checking the validity of portfolios and documentation; and monitoring assessment and verification practices. You will then provide written feedback and support, clarifying issues and enforcing compliance where necessary. It’s vital that any decisions you take regarding competency are consistent and applied with best practice in mind.
About you
With previous experience in Verification (preferably gained in the construction industry), you will be motivated, organised and good with people. You are educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) and know all about current best practice in assessment and verification, the NVQ system and Ofqual guidance. Your expertise is built on D32/A1, D34/V1 or the new internal quality assurance awards. Ideally, you will also hold D35/V2 or be prepared to achieve the new External Quality Assurance award once in post. Crucially, you have the communication and customer service skills to build strong working relationships and work with different people every day.
Please note that this role involves frequent, extensive travel, with nights spent away from home.
